Last year, I stumbled upon a T150V Trident that was (unfortunately) nearly complete, mostly perfect, and in all original condition.  What could be wrong with this find?

As one of the living, riding fossils dating back to days when these bikes reigned as the original Superbikes, I remember first hand how we corrected their styling flaws with joy and abandon-- tossing away those clunky, stock bits such as mufflers, replacing seats, tanks, tossing the un-needed extras, such as horns and mirrors,  like the refuse they were--  then.  Today, I shake my head at repro chainguards... only $100... but back to the point.  An original, basically unmodified T150V is just too rare today to carelessly start the needed, uh,  'improvements'.

Imagine finding a '70 Trident in excellent condition, AND mildly, tastefully modified just as I might have done myself (if I could have found the restraint- not a long suit for me in the 70's).  As unearthed, from  the proverbial barn (parked there in running condition and then forgotten as the previous owner's interest wandered off elsewhere) the bike is surprisingly original, although it doesn't look it at first glance.  Link to Next Page
